This little, friendly guy was found wandering the streets of Chicago in the rain. Unbelievably, no one came to claim him. However, you can claim or adopt Norm! He’s available via Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control, and will join me and Steve Cochran in the WGN studio as our monthly pet adoption dog on Monday, August 7 at 9:40 a.m. CDT. Listen at 720AM or HERE.
Norm takes to strangers and bonds quickly. His exact age is unknown, but he’s pretty young. He requires a refresher house training lesson. Norm is a small terrier mix.
Also, Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control is holding a “Dog Days of Summer Event” on Sunday, July 13 at 11 a.m. CDT.
Some of the Chicago’s most adoptable pups will appear at the Mercury Skyline Cruiseline dock (southeast side of Michigan Avenue at Wacker Drive) at 11 a.m.
The seriously dog-friendly cruise will begin at noon and end at 1:45 p.m. both on the Chicago River and on Lake Michigan. Cruise highlights to be pointed out by the captain include Chicago’s oldest fire hydrant and the park with the most squirrels.
And even while the cruise goes on, volunteers will showcase more adoptable pups until 2 p.m. at the Mercury Skyline Cruiseline dock.
