The Chicago Rescue Roundtable is an informal contingent of rescue groups, shelters and animal advocates in Chicago that gather information to make our communities safer for companion animals. Their Vote Pet Friendly Chicago project is designed to inform voters on how their aldermen feel about companion animal welfare. The Aldermen were interviewed and ranked.
This is interesting reading if you’re in Chicago, and I agree the results demonstrate that some elected officials believe myths they shouldn’t. However, the assessment is far from perfect, and too many Aldermen didn’t participate.
