Apparently, tourists in San Francisco don’t have enough to do. With cat cafes catching on throughout the country, here’s a twist: a rat cafe. Hopefully, the cats from the cat cafe won’t be visiting the rat cafe.
This is no joke. Not sure how people will actually be eating when the rats abound; I’m guessing that food isn’t served. Cafe organizers, from a place called the Dungeon, suggest their cafe is a celebration of the great plague in San Francisco caused by fleas associated with rats. I’m unsure why they’re motivated to celebrate the plague. The good news? Rats in the cafe will be domestic rats available for adoption (rats actually make great pets), and not their wild cousins likely found at the Dungeon’s dumpster in the alley outside.
