Q: Christmas Eve – overnight at 3:30 a.m. – our dog began barking. We finally came down to investigate and noticed the wood from the chimney was out of place; the cookies our little girl left out for you know who were gone (and they were too high for our dog to swipe). What did our dog see? Could it have been? —T.B., Cyberspace
A: The nose is faster than the eye. Consider this: Santa has to make 1,800 visits per second to get to all the homes around world. Santa is very speedy, and so are those reindeer. But a dog’s nose is even quicker. And, perhaps your pup also heard the prancing of the reindeer on your roof. As for the cookies, may I suggested your significant other?
We will likely never solve this mystery. Merry Christmas.
