Heartworm is literally killing our dogs. People don’t protect their dogs because they think, “It won’t happen to me,” says Dr. Shelly Rubin, past president of the American Heartworm Society. Listen HERE to my conversation with Dr. Rubin on my national radio, Steve Dale’s Pet World.

Dogs, cats and ferrets are susceptible. Protect your pets!
Every three years, the American Heartworm Society gathers data on heartworm testing to understand the impact heartworm is having nationwide, as well as in specific regions. Testing data from thousands of veterinary practices and shelters is used to create a detailed map showing the average number of heartworm-positive cases per clinic.
