One of the first scientists to peek inside brains to prove that animals do have basic feelings is Jaak Panksepp, who was the Key Note Speaker at the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists Veterinary Behavior Symposium, held on August 5 in San Antonio, TX in conjunction with the Convention of the American Veterinary Medical Association. It turns out that at a frequency of 50Khz you can make rats laugh. And Panksepp soon learned how to “tickle”’ rats to prompt their ‘funny bone.’
