Green beer and Bloody Mary’s to help animals. Force yourself.
It’s the Famous Fido Rescue St. Patrick’s Day Brunch. It’s a few days after the real St. Patrick’s Day – but in Chicago people are still celebrating, right? March 19, noon to 4 p.m., 3124 W. Irving Park Rd.
So, join the fun and help this truly no kill facility, Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance.
Aside from the booze – there are raffle prizes, and it’s only $40 to walk in the door for the wee bit ‘o fun.
Famous Fido aims to save the lives of the animals that need us most – those at high risk of euthanasia. They rescue and rehabilitate the animals that many other shelters feel they cannot take. NO animal, with the chance of a healthy happy life, is declined medical treatment. All are vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and spay/neutered before they go to their forever homes. Re-homing is the best and only answer. They continue to build a network of foster parents and potential adopters to ensure that these animals are treated with respect and compassion for the rest of their lives. Support the mission.
