Benji is available for adoption Tuesday (September 29) with Steve Cochran and Steve Dale’s monthly pet adoption segment, 9:10 AM CDT. It’s easy and tempting and right to take Benji home. He deserves that after he was found on a stray on August 12 near Patrowski park. He’s may be a Dachshund mix (maybe with some Chihuahua). He IS adorable. He’s friendly, and enjoys (LOVES) human attention. In fact, he doesn’t mind being carried around.
Best guess is Benji is around 4-years old. For sure, a young dog and in good health.
Listen at 720AM or HERE. (You can also watch online).
Also, here’s a chance to really help…and have a good time too!
Over 20 all star Chicago Chefs appear and serve at Chicago Animal Care & Control’s big Big Night benefit, October 8 at the Chicago Cultural Center (Michigan Avenue at Randolph St.), 6 p.m. I am the honorary chair, and am being honored by Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control.
One can easily argue that with all the budget problems this year, Animal Care & Control and the orphaned animals need your help now more than ever before!
I’ve been working hard to help animals, from writing books to speaking at conferences to serving on Boards and task forces all for a very long time with many honors and awards…but helping in Chicago means the most to me – and I know the help is needed. You will make a difference (and have a good time) if you attend. In some ways, the greatest honor of my career.
So, for just over $100 – yes you can support me, scarf down all the amazing food you can stuff in from great chefs; drink (including the infamous “muttini” bar) and enjoy music from the Cover Girls. The emcee is Pete McMurray, from the Drive (97.1 FM). Yes, you’re supporting me – but FAR more important supporting these sweet faces who have have done nothing wrong.
GET YOUR TICKETS HERE. Even if you normally don’t attend these sorts of events, I hope you consider making an exception. You being there WILL matter! By the way, there’s valet parking.
Help us to help the animals…..
