Alley Cat Allies, CARE Adoption Center Opening on WGN

Becky Robinson, co-founder, Alley Cat Allies joined us HERE on Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN radio.

Alley Cat Allies is a global advocacy group for cats, and Robinson talks about their new campaign #lovecats.

We talk about trap-neuter-return-vaccinate (TNRV), and why these programs effectively save cat lives. Robinson explains what these programs are about. The idea to kill cat to save wildlife makes no sense, and she tells us why.

We discuss Chicago’s success and getting cats/kittens out alive from the City’s municipal facility.

With all the animal shelter bad news happening over the course of the past two years or so in Chicago – here’s some great news, announced by Diane Moe, board secretary and adoption counselor of CARE – Community Animal Rescue Effort Adoption Center opening, 4927 Mains St. Skokie. 

The Center opening is August 4, noon to 3 pm.

The group is foster family family, and we talk about the many advantage for pets of being in foster homes.
