Animal Shelters Don't Operate Without People

From my ChicagoNow colleague Chris Dignan’s The Dog Saving Network Blog:

Blog poster ‘Karma’ said it So Well !!!

“It is great to love the animals, we all do here. My Mantra, Take Care
of the People Who Take Care of the Animals and the Animals will be Taken
Care Of”

I must tell you how much I respect those who work in the trenches at animal shelters, and also those who volunteer. Without volunteers, we’re all out of business. Thank you!!!! And to staff, to veterinarians, shelter medicine is hardly for sissies, it’s the toughest job in vet medicine (well, perhaps aside from treating an elephant with a toothache). Animal shelters are about animals, but they don’t operate without people.
