A Beach Party to Help Chicago Pets, Good Stuff Food Truck

Share

Help Chicago pets by having fun at the beach, and getting FREE stuff. Listen HERE to my conversation with Charlie Propsom of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control and Rachel Lewis, assistant brand manager American Pet Nutrition on Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN Radio.

The Good Stuff Food Truck, a food truck for dogs, will greet dog owners and dogs at the entrance to Mondog Dog Beach Beach (at Montrose Ave), 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday July 12 for a canine beach party. What can be more fun?

Also, dogs available for adoption will be there.

While the event is totally free and walking on to the dog beach and swimming in Lake Michigan is totally free, and attendees will receive dog swag (including coupons and free samples)

Charlie talks about how FACC is now funding new X-Ray equipment for the City’s municipal shelter. You can help out by making a contribution Tuesday at the dog beach. Friends will be especially friendly when it comes to taking donations.

I also talk with Charlie about the situation being so desperate with cats in Chicago (and in other cities too), and what people can do about it.

To learn more about fostering cats or dogs, go to Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control  or call, 312-747-9000. Having said that, as Charlie points out, the City is now doing a GREAT job at saving most pets….but most isn’t enough.
