Boxing Kangaroo is Rescued After Tumbling Into the Lake

Kangaroos can swim a bit but they’re not particularly adept in the water. No doubt, Michael Phelps is far better. And they get cold fast even in fairly warm water.
Locals have pieced together the movements of a kangaroo which caused quite a commotion at Lake Burley Griffin at around 7AM on September 20.
Apparently the Grey kangaroo chased a man on a bicycle, and actually got to a fight with him, at least according one witness. In the scuffle the marsupial landed in the cold lake in Canberra, Australia and couldn’t find a way out.
That’s when several bystanders noted the kangaroo standing and shivering in the water. Together, they rescued the marsupial who will now live for another boxing match. Good on them, as they may say Down Under.
