Canine Cruise Benefits Anti Cruelty

I love the Canine Cruise, which kicks off officially July 11 on Mercury Chicago’s Skyline Cruiseline.(Wacker Drive at Michigan Ave, SE Corner).

I made a deal with Holly Agra, president of Mercury Chicago’s Skyline Cruiseline. when I offered the idea of a dog-friendly architecture cruise at least 10 years ago,  (Mercury offers Chicago’s original architecture cruise) to show off the city’s parks with the most squirrels and oldest fire hydrants – that she also offer a benefit ride for a shelter, and I suggested Anti Cruelty Society.

For all these years, Mercury Chicago’s Skyline Cruiseline has lived up to the promise. And what fun! A great way to enjoy the Chicago Skyline and also support homeless dogs and cats with your dog(s).

The Skyline Queen dog ride to benefit Chicago oldest animal shelter is on Thursday June 25th at 6 p.m. (a perfect time for photographs).  Tickets are $40 per person for this 90 minute ride. Dogs ride free. Cats likely don’t want to ride on a boat surrounded by water! So, cats don’t ride.  The proceeds benefit your furry friends here at Anti Cruelty.
