Shelter Medicine Now a Specialty and National Link Coalition on the Link Between Violence to Humans and Violence to Animals

Salem, Massachusetts, USA - 01 February, 2012 - Puppies wait to be adopted at the New England Animal Shelter in Salem, Massachuetts, on February 1, 2012, while volunteers take dogs out for walks. The shelter has 50 dogs, 19 puppies and 37 cats at this time. The number of animals being euthanized in shelters is shrinking. Shelters now work together and donor support is up.
