At Tree House with Robin

Listen HERE as on Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN Radio, as for  50 years now Tree House Humane Society remains on the cutting edge of providing care for homeless cats as well as using best practices to support community cats. Also, there’s a cat cafe at Tree House highlighting cats who all happen to have feline leukemia, an idea which supports adoption of cats other shelters might not even give a chance.

Executive Director Raissa Allaire describes various Tree House programs including, trap-neuter-vaccinate-return. She also explains services provided by the now one-year old low cost veterinary clinic and wellness center.

Tree House was founded in 1971 following the dream of a group of volunteers who wanted better things for Chicago’s homeless cats, clearly the organization has come a long way and for many years has been considered a leader among all-cat shelters in America.

Bearded Dragon Lizards

HEAR Dr. Krista Keller, assistant Professor Zoological Medicine at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine as she suggests that bearded dragon lizards are the most “domesticated” of all lizards. She is a fan of the species! Discussed is why these are great starter lizards. Dr. Keller offers tips on what bearded dragon lizards require.

Offered here are additional choices for starter reptiles.
