Cook County Veterinarian on Rabies and Microchipping

Share

Dr. Donna Alexander, chief administrator Cook County animal and rabies control talks about what her job is on Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN Radio. Listen HERE, as Dr. Alexander talks about what happens to animals post eviction, people who hoard or allow animals loose in the forest preserves.

To say rabies isn’t here, or doesn’t exist would be a serious mistake.  One question I get a lot and so does Dr. Alexander, “Why does my indoor only cat need to be vaccinated against rabies?” She answer.

Dr. Alexander talks about the county’s low cost rabies clinic and low cost microchip clinics.

Listener Joanne called in asking about her cat’s teeth.

I also talk about my 20th year of writing my Tribune Content Agency newspaper column.
