Her secret to dealing with fearful dogs has a lot to do with broccoli. Only she can explain – and it’s actually a very food explanation.

Another secret is to help a fearful dog to feel safe, without forcing their fears on them. “You can not learn,” she says, “if you are terrified.”  Another tip is to enhance confidence, even in dogs – feeling good about yourself really does help. Play is also a key word!
