Dog Camp & Chicago Canine Rescue Mutt Strut: Steve Dale's Pet World

You can have more fun with your best friends than at Camp Dogwood…. as Alysa Slay will describe, it’s not too late to sign up for the next camp session, October 11-14.. Alyssa talks with me Sunday morning at 6:35 on Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN Radio, 720 or listen online

Animal News: Singing Mice.

At 6:48 AM, Anna Johnson, Chicago Canine Rescue Shelter Manager joins us in the studio to talk about Chicago Canine Rescue’s (CCR) 10th Annual block party and Mutt Strut (at Newport and Southport Avenues) to support pet adoption is October 5, 11:30 AM. The walk itself steps off at noon and goes north to Wrigley Field, and then back around – it’s an easy walk – as you can see the trees start to turn color.  Many CCR alma mater dogs, former shelter dogs, always turn out for the event. And I will be there too, with Kye Martin, traffic guru at WMAQ-TV.

There will be a doggy fitness course and K9 cookies to try (which kind of defeats the purpose of the fitness course, but on this day – dogs can be spoiled). Many items available in a silent auction.

Lots of activities for kids with two legs. Lots of merchandise for people and pets for sale, and veterinarians and dog trainers will be there to answer questions.

$25 Pre-Registration HERE , or $40 at the walk itself.
