So much of what we now know about the very common diagnosis of feline lymphoma in cats has been funded by the EveryCat Health Foundation  (previously known as the Winn Feline Foundation) and one of those often funded has been Dr. Craig Webb, professor clinical sciences Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Webb explains what lymphoma is cats is.  And for many cats the prognosis is not dire, much depends on which type of lymphoma is.

Dr. Webb also explains how lymphoma is diagnosed, and cats demonstrate signs – the most common are vomiting and weight loss. A steroid is often used as a short term-treatment, with chemotherapy drug (called Chlorambucil) as well as vitamin B-12. Dietary intervention can also significantly help.
