Emergency Preparedness for Pets
No one expects an emergency to happen. Odds are it won’t happen to you – but if it does, do be prepared, says Dr. Heather Loenser of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Being prepared may save your pet’s life.
The list in the disaster preparedness kid includes hydrogen peroxide, dish soap and, tuna…Of course, keep your pets’ medications handy to grab quickly your pets’ food and bottled water.
Keep the cat’s carrier or a carrier for small dogs nearby and easy to find. And insure your cat is trained to accept the carrier.
