International Association of Human Animal Interaction Organizations (IAHAIO) Conference will be held in the U.S. for the first time ever, as Dr. Rebecca Johnson IAHAIO President described on Steve Dale’s Pet World, WGN Radio. Listen HERE .

This is a big deal – and you can be there. Johnson describes how anyone can attend the IAHAIO Conference….from dog trainers, to dog groomers to veterinary professionals, to people who partake in animal assisted therapy to animal shelter employees or volunteers, to social workers to tall people to short people….all men can attend, and all women. In other words, it’s open to anyone!

Also, the IAHAIO Conference will for the first time ever be held in conjunction with a veterinary convention, at the 150th Convention of the American Veterinary Medical Association, held in Chicago July 20-22 (2013).

Here’s a video interview with Dr. Johnson, talking further about the IAHAIO Conference.  Check out my syndicated newspaper feature in this blog post about the IAHAIO Conference, and some of the research to be presented.

Among the IAHAIO social events – I will offer the official welcome to Chicago at the reception on July 20 at the Hyatt Regency (151 E. Wacker Dr.), and I attend July 22 for a cruise on Lake Michigan.
