Chicago Animal Care and Control needs your help…you can volunteer, or you can simply attend an upcoming fundraiser called Big Night.  Chef Jackie Shen leads this celebrity chef yummy event – let your nose lead you to the Chicago Culture (78 E. Washington St.), September 26, 6:30 p.m. Aside from meeting lots of animal lovers (like yourself), you KNOW you will be helping the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control to achieve their mission to help the city’s neediest animals.

Here are the silent auction items:

Dinner for 10 personally cooked by Jackie Shen, in your home! (estimated value, priceless!)

18-carat gold “joy” pendant necklace from Sidney Garber Jewelers (retail value: $2,800)

Two VIP ticks to the Conan O’Brien Show (estimated value, priceless!)

Hand-painted, versatile evening dress-size silk scarves by Chicago designer Yolanda Lorente (retail value, $900 each)

Photo art by Monique Moore Hoffman (retail value $1,450)

A “Wicked Weekend” with a 2-night stay at the Palmer House, and two tickets to see Wicked (retail value, ‘a lot!’)

One Saturday Master Chef cooking class for six at the Cordon Bleu Chicago School, in Chicago (retail value $600)

Emcees are Jim Rose of WLS-TV and lifestyle design expert Lakesha Rose. The amazing Katarina Visnevska performs classical sounds. Also, attending will be animal communicator Carolee Biddle.

OPEN BAR features lots of choices (of course) including “Muttini’s”
