Bella is a sweet and affectionate female Chiweenie (a what? Chihuahua and something) who came to Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance us as a stray. She is about two-years old.
Bella loves and loves to snuggle. She is a little gentle sweetheart. Still, she has a young girl blondes have fun attitude and loves to play. Her most favorite hobby is to snuggle up with you. Although, Bella would do best in a home without cats, and prefers dogs her own size. Bella is longing for a family to call her own.
Hopefully we will find a home for this sweet dog who deserves a committed family. Please help to spread the word!
Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance is a unique place, often taking dogs and cats others won’t – or if they were to, they would be euthanized. Most of the pets adopted via Fido are saved from euthanasia. This is truly no-kill. Every day is a celebration of life here.
In order to keep up the great work, Famous Fido will host their Celebration of Life fundraising gala on Friday, May 11, 6 p.m at the Stan Mansion (2408 N Kedzie Blvd.), Chicago.
Get this: The goal is to raise $100,000. That’s a lot of animal lives that will be saved.
Founder Gloria Lissner, has seen it all. She’s been doing this for 40 years, and she knows exactly what she is doing and what it takes. Truly, these dollars will help save many animals. The only thing that hold Gloria back are dollars. Please help to make it possible to save lives others can’t or won’t. 
The event features cocktails, food stations, and entertainment while raising money to support the lives of the cats and dogs that reside at Famous Fido by providing food, medical care and housing. NBC Chicago’s Lee Ann Trotter will emcee.
“Our sanctuary provides maximum comfort and wellness efforts for the animals, and we must ensure good nutrition, socialization, and vet care,” explains Lissner. “Just maintaining the building costs $29,000 a month and when unexpected illnesses lead to costly vet bills, it’s enough to overwhelm anyone! Therefore we are quite dependent on volunteers and donations to help keep the rescue and learning center alive.”
