The Hero Dog Awards, presented by Cesar Canine Cuisine is on the Hallmark Channel, Friday night 11/11/11.
I wrote a piece for my national newspaper column about the Hero Dog Awards (this is from the Los Angeles Times)... and a similar story for Animal Planet’s It’s Me or the Dog Victoria Stilwell’s Positively website on the awards show featuring what are really just ordinary dogs achieving the extraordinary.
President/CEO American Humane Association Dr. Robin Ganzert with Rin Tin Tin on Fox and Friends talks about this celebrating some pretty amazing dogs.
Interestingly, the show will air on Veteran’s Day, the Huffington Post writes, “When you raise your flag on Veteran’s Day, make sure to keep the four-legged heroes in mind, too. Among those dogs honored at the Hero Dogs Awards show is Bino, a Dutch Shepherd who spent 14 months in Iraq and completed special service missions to help fight the war on drugs.
