Hoarding Animals in Berwyn

More animals were rescued Tuesday (July 10) from a west suburban home, bringing the total number of animals removed from the home to over 50.
Neighbors has complained about the smell coming from the house for some time. I don’t know why this always takes officials so long to respond to. Don’t these officials have noses? Even the postal carrier reportedly complained, and would routinely see cats, and more cats.
The couple who lives in the home is still being questioned by Berwyn police Tuesday. At last check no charges had been filed, at least not yet. But their teenage daughter and the animals were living in squalor.
The animals, all of which alive but some reportedly in shaky health, are at a Cicero animal shelter being checked by veterinarians.
