ON WGN Radio with Wendy Snyder, I talk HERE about real concerns regarding dogs in hot weather. Heat stroke isn’t especially uncommon but it’s almost always avoidable. Consider the fact that no dog deal with heat especially well, and also size of the dog, coat color, dog’s age and whether the dog happens to be brachycephalic as to what the individual dog can tolerate. I also discuss with Wendy ways to get a jump on dogs who happen to be afraid of fireworks. That fear – sometime sheer terror – is understandable from a dog’s perspective. But what can you do?
