There are 20 per cent more cats than dogs in America, yet cats see vets only around half as often. As a result cats are a price with their lives. However, if kitties learn to hop willingly into their carriers, and are socialized to car rides and the vet offices from a young age, maybe people would take their cats to the vet twice a year – as the AVMA recommends.
