Some players celebrate winning the Super Bowl by going to Disney World. Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi had something else in mind. By the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, Kansas homeless pets won. KC defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi, and ZIWI Peak Pets are chose to celebrate the win by paying for the adoptions of ALL the adoptable dogs currently at KC Pet Project! ZIWI, a subscription-based pet food company, also provided swag bags with every dog adoption.

This partnership wasn’t a new one, but began during the 2019-20 season where Nnadi sponsored a dog’s adoption fee after every Chiefs victory. Over 100 pets have been adopted as a result of all this.  This partnership has continued since the 2019-2020 season with Derrick Nnadi and ZIWI and hundreds of dogs have found new homes as a result.
