Not So Mad Max, Helping to Find this Dog a Home on WGN

He may bark with a Southern accent, as Max is from an animal shelter in Alabama and we hope to find a home for him Wednesday morning, 9:05AM CDT on WGN radio with Steve Cochran in our monthly dog adoption segment.

So, why is he here? Well, Anti Cruelty Society saved his life. But who knows why he needed his life saved in the first place. Like so many dogs, it seems he’s done nothing wrong. He’s a friendly and amiable guy. Anti Cruelty says it seems he gets along with other pets – but he’s just come up from the South. There is only one hitch- again, not hardly his fault – he’s 7-years old. Let’s find this guy a home – and even if you can’t take the dog, you can spread the word.

This is a really important week for Anti Cruelty Society, their big Bark in the Park is Saturday, May 19, it’s Chicago’s largest dog-friendly party.
Here’s the fun part – You take a great stroll along Lake Michigan, starting at Soldier Field on the Green, 1410 Museum Campus Drive. Bring your phone or even a fancy real camera, the views are incredible. Photo ops!
Also, there will be free samples of pet merchandise and can you say free food (for people too!). There will be a beer tent (that’s for people), and dog games, like agility, and doggy service providers like the amazing folks at MedVet Chicago will be there too! All proceeds benefit neglected animals throughout Chicago to help support the the 20,000 animals that are cared for each year.
