Common issues are Xylitol (a toxic artificial sweetener), certain types of chocolate and maybe those brownies with Xylitol also have Macadamia nuts and raisins. May taste good to us – but a potential killer of dogs.
Something you may not think about are batteries, required for some toys and very problematic for pets.
Poinsettias get a bad rap, not healthy to chew on but not likely deadly. However for cats, the #1 concern are lilies. Fresh mistletoe, while romantic, can be a problem too.
