About half of all dog owners do not protect their pooches from heartworm, and those who purchase product often forget to use it (American Heartworm Society). One reason is that people simply forget to five their dog the product. One solution is a dose that works for six months, called ProHeart 6. On Steve Dale’s Pet World, listen HERE to Dr. Mike McFarland of Zoetis talk about the twice-a-year injection. ProHeart 6 has not been without some controversy, which we do discuss. Bottom line – heartworm is preventable. ProHeart 6 is a viable option.
Here’s the print story about ProHeart 6, which I wrote for my national newspaper column.
