Rescue Renovation Relaxation at Famous Fido

Tour renovations at Famous Fido Rescue and Adoption Alliance Sunday, July 25, 1 to 6 p.m., a celebration for the animals. And for human visitors includes wine, cheese and music for people.

Famous Fido wants to change the way shelters look and feel – for people and for animals.

Famous Fido is committing to save all. They initiated, since moving into our new No-Kill Advocacy Center of Chicago (3124 W. Irving Park Rd.), a program called Project GUARD. This is an intervention program, providing counseling and resources to those stressed by high vet bills, lack of pet-friendly housing, behavioral problems or family issues that have placed the animal into imminent danger of going into the shelter system where there may be a high risk of euthanasia. This type of program is the secret sauce to keep pets in homes.
