Results of IDEXX Preventive Care Study
I’ve been talking and preaching about preventive pet care for many years. Dr. Graham Bilbrough, medical affairs manager at IDEXX reveals on the national Steve Dale’s Pet World the results of one of the largest studies ever conducted in veterinary medicine. Over 5,000 veterinary practices across and a quarter a million pet profiles in North America were included in this ground-breaking study.
The question Billbrough sought to answer: Does preventive care really matter? Does it matter for the health of companion animals? Does it matter to benefit the wallet of pet caretakers?
New preventive care data shows that simple blood work and routine exam does hugely benefit all pets and even more so for older animals. The results are more than a bit compelling.
The study was done in conjunction with the American Animal Hospital Association.
