Rise in Brazen Dog Thefts

A word of warning: The number of stolen dogs is on the rise, some reports suggest that the number of puppies going missing has increased by as much as 70 percent according to the Top Agency.
As Lady Gaga found out the hard way, thieves are out there seeking specific valuable breeds (like Bulldogs and French Bulldogs) as well potentially any dog left unsupervised (such as in a backyard). Some dogs (as this report shows clearly) are stolen at gunpoint. Stealing dogs using firearms? What have we come to? Still, overall, law enforcement points out that dogs – particularly larger dogs – are a crime deterrent and enhance public safety when taking a walk.
