Strut for Tree House Humane Society
Share
The Tree House Humane Society 7th Annual Stray Cat Strut is Saturday June 2, 10 a.m., starting at the city’s oldest and largest cageless no kill all cat shelter, 1212. W. Carmen Avenue.
A 5K Walkathon begins at the shelter and then heads to the lakefront to raise awareness about the plight of community cats, promote spay/neuter and adoption, and to raise money to help Tree House care for special-needs cats. About 100 or more folks will march and chant, “Love your cat!” Not sure the kind of security will be required that was for NATO – few helicopters above. But mice will run in terror.
This is a dog friendly event! So, finally – a chance for dogs to help the cats.
If it’s hot, please remember dogs are inefficient at cooling off – it’s very important to bring water. (If it’s VERY hot, your dog may be happier left at home).
