Taking Home a Rabbit is a Special Sort of Commitment
Here’s a crash course on pet rabbit care on my national Steve Dale’s Pet World radio show with Anne Martin, executive director of the House Rabbit Society
Hear what Anne says, offering an overview of the special needs rabbits require (compared to dogs or cats) and why an impulsive purchase is never a good idea.
Rabbits are easy to litter box train (assuming they are spay/neutered).
Rabbits are quiet pets. But don’t communicate vocally which small children depend on as they don’t understand body language. They’re also ground loving animals who detest being picked up and cuddled, which young kids instinctively want to do.
