The International Association of Human-Animal Interaction Organizations at AVMA

Share

The International Association of Human-Animal Interaction Organizations (IAHAIO) will first the first time ever meet at the Convention of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and in fact for the first time ever share their accumulated science at a U.S. meeting (July 19-23, 2013 in Chicago). I talk with Dr. Rebecca Johnson, IAHAIO president and has the longest title ever – Professor (Nursing) and Millsap Professor of Gerontological Nursing and Public Policy Professor (Vet Med) and Director, Research Center for Human Animal Interaction (ReCHAI) MU College of Veterinary Medicine. Bottom line, she and her colleagues do the real research which demonstrates how interactions with pets may make us healthier as individuals and help us to live in a healthier society.

Anyone may come to the IAHAIO Conference, and therefore can attend the AVMA Convention….HERE’S how to do it:
