Dr. Lori Teller is the current President of the American Veterinary Medical Association and she explains on the national Steve Dale’s Pet World radio show why she believes twice a year veterinary visits are best.

In part, it’s because pets age so much more quickly compared to us. And often we can’t truly tell what’s going on. For example, you can’t do blood work in your kitchen. Cats are particularly so adept at masking pain.

Early diagnosis often means a better prognosis.
