University of Illinois Vet School Comes to Chicago

Share

It’s called Furnetic, the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine new Chicago practice….The good news is that for the expertise of the vet school, you no longer need to drive the 2-hours plus. Aside from specialists from the teaching hospital visiting, this is a real, working practice, 2242 W. Harrison Street (just West of Damen Ave.).

Dr. Rosemary LoGiudace, clinic director and visiting clinical professor at the U of I vet school gave me a guided tour a couple of weeks ago. The surgical suite is very sweet; there’s video conferencing available from there – so because of the technology a consult could come from Champaign/Urbana, or anywhere in the world.

And there’s more – You can enroll in Pet U for $8 to $13
Here are the first two sessions:
October 13: Exercise is Not a Four-Letter Word: Fun and Fitness with Fio for a Finer Future, 7 pm
November 10: Pet Licking: Scratching, or Biting Itself? And What Can I Do?, 7 pm

I’ll list more of these monthly classes on the blog. You can email Info@furnetic.com for an entire listing of classes.
