Lots of email about this issue from readers and listeners. It all began about a month ago, (March of 2010) when the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a statement announcing restrictions and general concerns about Flea and Tick products.
I’m glad the EPA is paying attention. That’s a very good thing. And generally,
I agree with their suggestions. However, at least some people have jumped to conclusions, and are believing a rash of misinformation of the web.
Here’s a piece I wrote for my national newspaper column on why NOT using flea and tick preventatives is a FAR greater risk than using the appropriate products.
