World’s Largest Dog Wedding and Kane County Cougars
Dr. Bob Froehlich is President/CEO/Owner of the Kane County Cougars addresses HERE on Steve Dale’s Pet World on WGN radio what he called “the perfect storm,” the opportunity to break a Guinness World Record and simultaneously help out a variety of pet-related charities (many help people too). The hope is that on Sunday October 2, called Diamonds in the Ruff, Guinness Book of World Records will be smashed for the world’s largest dog wedding. “It will be fun for everyone involved,” says Dr. Bob.
On July 26, the annual Bark in the Park is at Northwestern Medicine Field where the Cougars play baseball, and this year – in particular – actually play pretty darn good baseball. Socialized dogs (on-leash) are welcome to attend (as long as they don’t chase balls on the field).
On July 26 Steve Dale throws out the first pitch – hopefully, being a left-handed pitcher, Dr. Bob carries appropriate insurance. Heads up!
Dr. Natalie Marks discusses the increasing danger of leptospirosis, but how you can protect your dog and your family, as lepto can be transmitted to people. Dr. Marks explains what lepto is and how dogs do get this. And most importantly, how easy it is to prevent leptospirosis.
