One of Chicago’s premiere life-saving shelters Chicago Canine Rescue, is partnering with the acclaimed River North Stephen Daiter Gallery (203 Superior Street, 4th floor), hosting a silent art auction, called Gimme Shelter!, to benefit the Chicago Canine Rescue pups on Saturday, April 25th from 5 p.m. to 7:30p.m.
You can bid on some of the Gallery’s finest vintage examples of important 20th Century American and European photography. This is Quality art at what might be a bargain price to benefit a shelter that saves dogs who no one else may take.
Because the Gallery owner’s daughter, Maya, is a huge animal lover, ALL proceeds from this stunning collection will go directly to Chicago Canine Rescue.
I will emcee. I am personally a fan of the gallery, as we own several pet-related pieces, which incidentally have risen in value. About 50 pieces of art in the silent auction and a number of really cool pieces for a raffle .
The event is catered by Chef Fredy, and dog-loving Langunitas as a sponsor of still another pet event.
The event is FREE. RSVP by calling 312-787-3350, or print an invite found HERE.
(Due to dog flu, this is not a dog-friendly event)
