Friendship Pet Food Pantry provides pet food to the pets of Chicago residents in need. The goal is to provide resources so pets can stay with their families. Food distribution is on the third Saturday of every month at the Lincoln Square Friendship Center from 9 to 11 a.m. In addition to pet food, there’s often cat litter, dog and cat toys, leashes, and other accessories available.
Anyone who lives in Chicago is eligible for assistance; there are no income requirements, though clients are required to show proof that their pets are spayed or neutered. Check out these guidelines for assistance.
Friendship Pet Food Pantry needs your help to keep doing what they do to serve Chicago.
“For the Love of Pets” is a benefit held February 16 at Begyle Brewing, 1800 Cuyler Ave., at 7 p.m. There will be skeeball, a raffle, lots of beer (of course), bites to eat, and, most importantly, an opportunity to help pets and families in need. I will be the guest speaker.
Also, you might go home with great prizes from local restaurants, boutiques, and pet stores. You’ll be able to bid on one-of-a-kind art, gift packages, and excursions, including a private sail on Lake Michigan with up to five of your friends. Tickets are $40. Reserve yours HERE.
