Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is one of the few diseases in a pet still not completely understood and considered fatal. At least that was the case just ten years ago. Through the Winn Feline Foundation Bria Fund, which raises money to support funding to better understand and even ultimately find a solution to FIP, definitive strides have been made.
Dr. Susan Little, past president of the Winn Feline Foundation and current president of the American Association of Feline Practitioners explains.
Celebrating a decade now, the Bria Fund has indeed made a difference their the funds raised. “We wouldn’t be where we are today, with a glimmer of hope without the Bria Fund,” Little said.
Little, the editor of “The Cat: Clinical Medicine and Management,” talks about polyprenyl immunostimulant, a drug which can help some FIP cats.
